Rebe Reborn

REBE

Rebe has some sweatshirts and coats made out of recycled fiber material, with bits of vintage kimonos for flare. This is what Anthropologie clothes would be like if they cared. But they don’t, and you do, so stop spending your money there and spend it on eco-goodness instead!

These clothes are so nice- classic and yet innovative. I bought one of their coats for my sister and I was so afraid she was going to return it and go get something from Anthro that I almost kept it for myself. But she loved it. So she kept it, and then I realized that I really just wanted it for myself. Oh well, too late! Looks good on her, so I guess it’s for the best… sniff.

Loyale-T

Loyale

Loyale clothing was started by Jenny Hwa, who used to work for some big designers, but felt that the world was in need of a more eco-friendly brand of clothing. And she was right! Thank goodness she has been able to step up and fill the void with her cute and comfortable designs. I have this fake chinchilla hooker coat, and I love it. In fact, everyone loves it, and when I wear it out, people literally give me free stuff, like coffee and candy, just for looking so fly… no lie.

Loyale dresses, coats, and activewear are all made with organic or sustainable materials (bamboo), and surplus fabrics. And they are all lovely.

Hey Now Nau

NAU

Clean and simple, efficient and effective- sometimes just making something well enough so that it lasts longer than one season can be the biggest factor in a piece of clothing’s sustainability, but these guys go beyond quality, incorporating sustainable materials and ethical production practices into their line of winter and outdoor fashions. Their philosophy of reducing the environmental impact of their products and using fair trades practices applies not only to themselves, but for their suppliers as well.

So bundle up and wrap yourself in some good karma to warm you through the coldest months of the year.
