It’s H.E.R. Time

H.E.R. DESIGN

Helen E. Riegle makes vegan handbags using eco-sensitive inks, glues, and solvents when possible in the dyeing, bonding, and printing processes. And I’ve already lectured you on the waste created by the leather industry, which should be a eco-friendlier alternative to pvc materials, but isn’t, due to the chemical runoff from the leather tanning process. These bags aren't just kind to nature, they are inspired by nature, with each design subtly reflecting different leaf shapes.

H.E.R. designs might come from nature, but that doesn't mean you can't take your shiny gold leaf-shaped clutch out for a night on the town!

Keep on Truckin' with English Retreads

ENGLISH RETREADS

From the truck stops of Boulder Colorado comes the handiwork of Heather English, a vegan lady who went looking for a painless handbag and came back with a bag company of her own, called English Retreads. All of her products are made from vegan tires- not leather tires, like they do in Hollywood, but rubber tires, which make durable and presumably water proof (if not air-tight) handbags, messenger bags, bets, wallets and keychains.
